Escort arm rest trim

The escort arm rest trim all the escorts i have seen just have the 2 screw then the caps . On mine i have them and also have 2 other holes at the rear and have half moon rubber to cover them just wanted to know if any one seen this before.

nope, not seen one like that - they've been drilled by someone. Maybe it was running some kind of audio equipment at some point? Or some kind of odd security device that locked the handbrake up?
