montes have never been any more desirable or sought after,i cant even remember the last time i saw someone after a monte specifically ,its just stupid dealer prices as usual, they think because it was ltd they can charge an even bigger premium than normal unfortunately this will then have the knock on effect where everyone thinks theirs is worth that money as well im sure anyone after buying an es cos wouldnt be bothered which model it is nowadays as long as its an honest and straight one in nice cond with history to suit, its strange actually how the monte has never commanded more £ with it being a ltd edition, most other makes and models always seem to attract a premium for the ltd models but this has never happened with the escort, maybe because the es cos as a whole was pretty ltd from the start anyway

very well put i think the trouble with the monte is as a special edition you normally get more as in extras etc but you end up with less.

Stickers, limited colour choice, minimum interior trim and exactly the same performance as any other escos. Nothing particularly enticeing to command more.

Really just stickers and wheels marketing blah.

They also won in other places, so it seems out of place to commemorate just one location.
            Cheers

I’m sure this is the one that Appreciating Classics had for sale a couple of years back for £30K.

                        Always the same problem.
Guys who don't have Monte criticizing the price of an exclusive and numbered car.
I'm sorry but the real life is this and something like that has more money

Just factually and historically it has never made a difference in terms of price.

montes are excluded from the luxury leather like this.

Good for leather but not good for fast road and track days
Leather its possible buy and Montes not. For my and more people this is real exclusive.
