  • Crossmember swap how to?

    Hi guys,

I've got an EsCos which needs a new X-member with TCA and anti-rollbar. I've collected all the parts , the only thing left now is swap all the parts.

I want to know the quickest way to swap it. I don't want to remove the engine completely. Has anyone some tips and tricks for me?

    Thanks!

Hoist the engine up to keep it in place and drop the crossmember and other parts.

An engine support beam like the ones used for fwd motor mount replacement or transaxle removal may be helpful.

Thanks, just as I thought. Only difficulty are the bolts from the steering rack.
