Depends on the damage and quality of repair IMO. But should still get around the 20k+ Mark. Or at least, that's what a local one went for a few weeks ago, sigpic

Copy: Pacifica blue small turbo. 96000 miles, stages 1 with 18 Rondells & a mongoose exhaust. The car needs tidying up & would probably need a full respray to be honest. It has had a knock on the rear quarter that’s why it must be a Cat D.
Its considered for sale, thats why he wonders what kind of price area to expect

I think it would depend on how much you want it, the availability of a car, condition etc. A categorised car of this age should not not make a huge difference as long as the condition is good. Unless that is you are into speculating and not the love of the car. I know everyone want's the best but when the best is unattainable for whatever reason you could probably have to make it the best for you.

My original question was how much will a car being a Cat D effect the price. Assuming that the repair has been carried out to a reasonable standard would it be worth say 70% of the normal value for example.sigpic
It was the voices in my head that made me do it.........

At the end of the day it’s a cat D car and I no need to insure don’t insure them and there’s probably a lot of other cat D cosworths about that the owners either don’t no about or arnt letting on so it’s always a good thing to hpi when your going to see one as if private they don’t have to tell you.
