No matter what, if you sell it you will miss it like hell. Always.

If you get a fantastic price that you are happy to accept then you should not regret it.

It it is better to have owned, enjoyed and sold for what you want, than never to have done any of those things.

If you choose not to use it anymore or hardly either then it does help to make the decision because as soon as you go for a drive again you will not want to let it go!

Is it just me? Based upon the ask at dealers and auctions, 50K seems light for this car.

Its def a hard one, Ive changed my mind on the sale of mine countless times over the past year, i finally came to terms with it going only be mucked about by the guy who id been in touch with about it for a couple of months.
What makes it hard is i'll never get another car like mine and once its gone its gone, i suppose there all special in some way to their owners, it depends on how much you use it, socialise with it, something i don't do now and kinda miss but life is just to busy!!
Im at stage now that i just want it gone, I want to move my business on and the money would come in handy but not essential, unsure how the market is now, don't know if its as buoyant as it was or whats not helping me is my location, in selling it, if it doesn't go i'll put it to silverstone auctions next year.
If it does go and i feel ok about it i will then probably sell my focus 500 and move on.
Its a tough one, your cars stunning but maybe time to enjoy something more.

If you didn't sell it and then changed your mind and wanted another then how long would it take you to find one at the standard you'd be happy with? If you'd get one that needs work and do it yourself then fair enough but if you'd only want to buy one that's already up to standard then you could potentially be without one for a while.

Your pay more than that for a MK2 Escort RS1800 even more for a near concourse standard spec car, in fact approaching £80k

Not an Escos but was in the same dilemma a couple months back with my 3 door, very good offer , I know it will be worth more in years to come but will I still be here to enjoy that extra say £10k?? Who knows.
I sold mine and could have paid off my mortgage, I decided to put money into a rental house and buy a mk2 FRS instead and love it.
Do I regret it, not at all.
Was it nice having it, of course but that was all it was.. I had it but never used it,
I now have a car I love using and not so scared to use it

Your car is very nice however by your own admission you never use it so would you REALLY miss it if you sold it?

its ok to look at it in the garage but if you dont use it how can you miss it.

ok, it may go up in value in time, like most collectors cars bbt will you get to use it in that time to appreciate it, probably not,so imo, take the offer and do something special with it albeit another car, house etc, maybe better that way than sitting in the garage doing nothing.

me personally, i use mine for enjoyment, track days, days out, going to shows etc, so if my car went then i would not do these things and it would change the way i enjoy myself so it would bother me not having my car here with me but for people who dont use it them why not get rid if the right offer came along.

we are all different aswell and maybe some dont need the money however £50k is a lot to anyone.

£50k for a very nice escort cosworth is not that much either.

                    Dave.

If anyone wants to bung £50k my way they can definitely have mine.
                      Cheers

If it’s never used I would also vote to sell.
50k is a nice wedge to make some great memories with the family etc or pay mortgage off and reduce hours at work etc.
I like using my one as per Daves reply

Your wright I could regret this big time. But I carnt see anything else I would change it for. And like some have said to me once gone doubt I will ever be able to get one again.
