  • Ideas for BT Sunroof Louver Refurbishment

My BT sunroof louver is really dirty with road grime etc. It appears to be flocked. How can I clean it, or even remove the flock, and get it redone? Are there any companies out there that specialise in this sort of thing?

I have removed the sunroof cassette and removed the louver from said cassette.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    John

nine was filthy as well, but i wanted to the headlining done in black so i painted the sunroof blind with black fabric paint, maybe an option, looks great as well.

I was wondering this the other day when I moved a random spare sunroof that I found in my garage. Same thing, quite dirty, would a good upholstery shampoo not work?

Well I've had some success. I gave it a wash, and has turned out quite good. The flock is quite resilient, and takes a beating from a scrubbing brush.

Glad you posted this John As I have the exact same problem. Got hold of a spare to fit and its worse than my original. I’m going to give it a bash once the car’s back together

            cheers

This is what I used. Bought from Costco.

Flock is very good for cleaning up. I can give you a phone number for someone to re-flock and repair if needed, he is very good.
