Barum Engines

Has anybody used Barum Engines in Devon for engine builds etc.? They seem to know their stuff, and have a nice machine shop for modifications. He has a great you tube channel and refers to Cosworth engines quite a lot. I’m looking to have my BT rebuilt with mods and map, and they are not that far from me. Just curious if anyone has used them?

Strangely, ive just watched a few of his utube videos. He does seem to know his onions from his Charlottes.
I dont know about tuning. I would perhaps leave that to Mark Shead at MAD or perhaps SCS.

I have no personal experience with them, but do watch there You Tube Chanel and some of the stuff they show is not good ! I would not be trusting any work to them.

Dave off here uses them DP motorsport , so they must be ok , saying that just watched on YouTube and they put a crank in a vw the wrong way round !!!

They know their stuff when it comes to YB, you could ask Dave Pritchard, he's spot on

Used them back last year to long stud my block. Top job and great to deal with.

If he knows his stuff about cossys why is he saying over 400 bhp with 4x4 exhaust manifold and 2wd drive inlet , as we know very restrictive? Dave builds his own engine , if They are spot on wouldn’t he get them to build them , how many times have they built the one guys engine 4 times !this is just my opinion

Why did an engine need rebuilding 4 times? Who was building it?

I’ve watched a few of their videos and while they seem good at what they do they give the impression that they don’t know much about the YB

It's a way off, but I used MAS in crewe and Mike there is a YB master.
