anyone else find the dipstick a right pain in the arse to check?

i dont know if its my escort but ive snapped two dipstick handles now trying to pull mine out.. its starting to annoy me.. i never had this problem with my 2wd saph, whats the difference between the 4x4 one and the 2wd?? i know the 2wd is all metal and its more flexable like a spring... what would be involved in changing to a 2wd one?

ive pulled the metal tube out with mine and now it comes out every time and is a damn pain to get back in dunno what to do with it maybe some loctite

i knew that was coming!! as yours will be going again soon you'll remember how much of a bitch it was!!lol

i'm thinking maybe a custom one through the bulkhead so i can check my oil from inside the glovebox!! this way i could keep a nice rag in there too! i can sit in the warm in my leather chair to do these checks!! nice and practical!!lol
