polishing inlet manifold

has anyone polished the trumpets out on there inlet manifold to get better air flow or isnt there much point....im only asking as i have just found a spare one kicking about

Polished and deburred mine, not sure how much difference it made really. just did it as I had everything in bits

it wouldn't hurt, i did mine. but i also had to match it to my ported head.

whats the best way to do it or is there someone on here that would be able to do it for a price

Very easy to do your self if you're not having to matching to head (ie ported inlets) use a dremel for the burrs and then a bit of wet and dry and then finish with polish

This is when i did mine a few years ago





These were on my last engine, ported by Nick Waples to match the head, you can see how much more they were opened up over standard
