anyone had a vin plate from fords? just wondering if they can stamp one up in the orig fonts and how much?

I've always wondered that. I always thought if the kak handed buggers at Lincoln had a go at it, it would probably look like it had been done by a drunk gorilla. But if they're sent away to be done maybe it would look okay.
I really must get over this bitterness I have with them.

i had one done at tag plates £39 good service just need to send a copy of log book and any other info

The ford ones do come back stamped correctly Nick but the vin plate design is different to what was originaly fitted to your car. It's not massively different but you can tell.

i have a brand new blank ford vin if your interested you can get them stamped on the net easily

It looks to me that the text on that plate is for a lhd car

dunno if its me but changing your vin is like clocking the car

i have seen them internet vins that are shocking ones,i can tell they are fake and i know what the gen ford pop rivets look like,change them and i can tell and i go straight off the car cos i know its been tampered with

i honestly won't buy rs's if the tags have been played with or changed
