vBulletin 3.8.4

Although it's not exactly according to the published release timetable, as we are still delayed by redirecting all resources available to prepare vBulletin 4.0 for its debut, vBulletin 3.8.4 is a maintenance version, which rounds up some usability related bugs, as well as address the problems for servers running PHP 5.3.0. 3.8.4 also addresses an issue with vbchop() causing PHP memory to hit memory_limit with very very very long posts filled with special entities on some non-standard configurations.

Issues resolved by 3.8.4 include the following:

PHP 5.3.0 Depracated messages [28380]
PHP 5.3 Timezone Bug [28388]
Plus Characters in Email Addresses [27748]
Infractions and Infraction Points not showing correctly on "Search for Users" [27656]
Invalid URL falsely returned [27278]

27 bugs have been fixed in vBulletin 3.8.5. Here's a list of the bugs fixed with the public bug tracker ID number.

The navbar template isnt used on our site in its native code, we are using a custom template called "Clean Blue" that repositions the navigation links into the header template (the bit with the car pics) on the standard vbulletin templates the navigation bar is acually a seperate template that fits below the header template.

Revert means that to use a clean "untampered" version of the newest coded template, you would have to "Revert" from the old coded template back to the newer template supplied with the upgrade and then copy over any code revisions you have made, to make your site unique (If you have that is!)

wel the only thing i noticed was i had been logged out.

i find it irritating to have to log in constantly so have my user status set to log straight in.
