what make grade of engine oil is best ?

just wondered what make and grade of oil people put in there cosworths i know people have there own preferance
personally i used to use castrol 10w-60 in previous cosworths,
but currently using mobil 1 15/50 as this is what previous owner used but thinking of going back to using castrol or maybe 1 i havent tried before as car is due a service

that was what i was thinking to go back to 10/60 castrol as i had that oil in previous cars but noticed that valvoline do a 10/60 so may try that has any 1 else used valvoline oil?

Im using Silkolene Pro S 10w-50, just got some delivered the other day for oil change before the summer lol

I put castrol edge sport in mine and went on a 200 mile run and it was empty when i got back!! As Mike R warned me, When it heats up it expands and pisses out everywhere. Have Valvoline in now and no probs so far! Can't get silkolene pro s near me.

silkolene or mobil Ive allaways used, tried castrol but it made the engine sound tappy.

yeah I got the 10/50 in mine of the 300v Motul oil.
