  • HI!!

Hi, I'm Micheal from ireland and i've a white small turbo escort cosworth, i've got a lot of useful info off the site over the last year, but i have a problem with my car now and hoping some one can help?

It seems to only boost some times, its like the dump valve isnt closing properly.ive read in another thread that you can disconnect the dumpvalve and drive it to see. its got an aftermarket dumpvalve on the cold side and the original under the turbo is blanked off. is it safe to blank off d/v and see if it makes a difference.

Any info would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Micheal

Sorry posted in wrong section, can someone move please, sorry

It will not be a problem mate.
If blanking the D/V don't forget to blank the vacuum line also.

i removed the d/v and it seems to boost ok now, if i block the d/v and vacuum line, do i need to put the origianl d/v under the turbo back on or is it ok to run without it? I'll try post up some pics soon,

                    Thanks
                    Micheal
