Kinked Koni!!

Was out for a drive threw the country roads today with my mate in his c20let corsa was hanging a right bend and hit a pothole on the bend and felt my car jump over to the right stoped as i thought id maybe have a puncture and got out to see my wheel sittin with about 15-20mm negative camber and the cup off my koni nearly scrubbing the wheel went up to my work to check things over and noticed a crease in my shock took it off and managed to compare it to a spare 1 off my mates who broke a saph and it was kinked i couldnt belive it thought konis would be stronger than that!!

so bought the set off my mate and changed the 2 front 1s as i dont kno how old they were they were on the car when i bought it

Yep quite as common thing, kinked front struts

ive had the same before myself.

hit a pothole in a country lane and it bent the Koni resulting in the edge of the tyre scrubbing against the lower spring seat of the Koni.

infact, ive even done the same with the cheap Gaz coilovers
