Focus RS500 Order confirmed

Had a phone call confirming my order this morning
And received a confirmation e-mail this afternoon
Only three cars coming to N Ireland
Two going to my dealers one more to another dealership
A friend of mine also had his confirmed-from the other dealership
Dont have a delivery date or confirmed price as yet
Had to pay another £1000 on top of the deposit i paid during the week

Just have to wait on it arriving

Great car and lovely to be the first owner but I can't help feeling you're going to lose a massive amount in depreciation buying it brand new. Someone has to though I guess, and I suppose it's the same with all new cars.

For example, my Mondeo ST TDCI I bought less than 3 years old from it's original owner with 17k miles on the clock, he had specced it to the hilt and paid £24k for it, and I bought it for £10k. And it was literally like a new car. Scary amount of money to lose in that short a time.

But like I say though, a lovely thing to have if you can live with that, and I guess with the limited run if you keep it long enough it might appreciate, so I look forward to seeing it on the site.

i like the idea of buying a new rs i doo and its a great feeling buying a new car,that trip into the showroom looking at the shiny shiny and sitting down with a salesman who steers you through the details is great.

i'll say this though,if you can't afford it don't buy it. if the thought of losing big till worrys you leave it.
on the other hand if you can afford to take a possible hit or a deffo hit why not

my brother made money on his new focus rs,you may do the same.
get shut early doors though to get most or a bit more till back

nice if true as i was told by someone very high up that they will sort out hwo will be asked if they still want one latter this month when they release the price and then a 10% deposit will need to be put down to secure the order

Exactly what i was told today

My dealer told me they can NOT confirm any orders until the price is released
