i reckon the escos will be on the road soon after central day but with standard box and diffs.

How long can a standard 4x4 box last with 500 brake? do i have to be really carefull or can i boot it in higher gears or is it a bit of a lottery?

Third has always been a problem for me but last time the box feel apart and was just left with 4th

Defo a lottery at that power,ive just bought a spare box for the saph.

4th will be fine, but avoid ful throttle in any of the other gears . Turn the boost down!

considering ive killed mine with 3000 miles and only 350bhp (on a good day ) you might want to be very careful

My standard box has been fine upto now, for about a year at the current level (apart from the transfer chain). Although it is on 3.9 gearing.

BUT now it KNOW's it's got over 400 bhp lets see how long it lasts

it will break instantly!! i broke mine in 4th with 450bhp instantly

Been in this boat for six months now and bloody hate it............. 500hp and can't use it due to temporary standard box.
It takes all the fun out of having a great engine if you can't use it to it's full potential. I cringe every time i accelerate in 2nd and 3rd
Also doesn't help that the standard box is crap anyway......... if it's all you've ever known then i suppose you get acustomed to it..... but after having a six speed close ratio box it highlights just how hopeless the standard one is

Went POP !!

Think the Irish had the best out of it judging by the condition when it was stripped

Decided not to rebuild it...... but starting to wonder if that was a mistake. Was defo a mistake to sell what was left of it for £350........ if i'd kept it i would have always had the option to go with it again
