  • Running very rich?????

Just fitted msd 380+ chip and my emmisions readings are 11%+ co 4000+ ppm hc its that bad its smoking and hurts your eyes lol

Any idea's i tried ringing them earlier but they must have been busy. Going to try a new lambda sensor tommorrow if i can get one. When i unplugged the lambda it went down to 5+% co. Is this normal??

    Thanks Danny

you may have the scrol of the map in the wrong place.. the ecu screw needs to be turned 5 times clockwise then 2 turns anticlock wise, then it needs to be fine tuned from here... the co reads dont mean much it the air fuel ratio thats important.

it should be 1.5 % co with the lamba connected

and around 3.2 diconnected on a mot machine...

i fun mine around 13.6 afr on idle which is around 1.7co i think then when it hits boost its in the 11's if you set the idle co to low you will be lean at the top!!

you need a wideband gauge if your seting the chip up your self mate..

sod going to totd, if your car make 300bhp and your shocked then you ask him why's it down on power, he'll shrub his shoulders and ring msd as he knows fuck all.. and he spun a shell on my escort on his dyno mapping it continously all day and he cooked the bottom end...

take it to ian at power engineering or if you can afford the fuel go to reylands!!

sorry to here that mate.. get a welded 7.5" on there with 2wd shafts and 2wd hubs and do not run r888's for drifting they are far to gripy for any diff!! if you do these mods and you run 380bhp you wont be able to brake you transmission!!
