  • My old car

As above my old car in this month's Total Vauxhall..................

Yes I know a Vauxhall, but I had 10 good years with this car doing endless abuse of 0-60's, quarter miles and racing more expensive cars and it never let me down. The best bit is I always said I would only ever sell for an Escos
Thankfully my brother has it now, so I can still see it.

hey Paul novas are good fun ive had loads and built many from valvers on bike carbs and jenvy throttle bodies, lets with f28s and also built a few v6 novas 2.5 and 3.0s and my mate still owns the 3.0 one now so i still see that aswell, theyre a laff but hard to find good ones these days as most rot away and end up in scrap yards. was that courtenay conversion? they did my 1st one many years ago and i just copied their way from then on.

You did well also then Andy, I met an accountant in the middle of a restriction where it was my right of way, ended up getting £2500 for the car and £1500 in injury claims, plus I sold the car for £650 afterwards not bad for me paying £2500 for it a year earlier

I wasn't in the car when it happened. Parked up. I'd paid £1200 for it 6 month earlier. Was a clean 1.4 sr

                          Hate Vauxhalls but like Nova's

Good that yours is still accessible

Always fancied sticking a valver in my GSI but could never be arsed so just knocked the shit out of it instead

On the right road, i bet i could go quicker in my Nova than i could in any Cosworth Mind you, maybe the amount of money i had sat in the Nova could of had something to do with that

Yes this was the original Courtenay Nova Turbo built completely from a bare shell in 1992 and was quite a famous car back in the day.

I bought in 1999 and kept it until last year was great fun and even sold on my MK 1 FRS over it which I also had at the time cos it was just so much fun and would hang on and upset most modern cars, but the time came when I wanted an Escos even more
