whine noise

4x4 saff when you lift off the throttle i get a diffy kinda noise from the back...on throttle nothing except the 1st 2nd 3rd 5th whine from the fixit box......so what is it and is it a fault i seem to remember all my 4x4's doin it?

Mine does the same normaly notice it at higher revs when you lift off , thought it might be diff but can always remember it and it's only low miles perhaps it's my driving style

Means that it needs sorting, or it will get worse. The gears are not meshing tightly, so need clocking (or dialling) in. So when you come off the throttle, the noise you get is the slop / play in the meshing of the gears being taken up.

The teeth will snap off the CWP / planet gears......

So is easiest option new diff or is there a quick fix we could do ourselves
