Was last there in '05 when Kylie threw a Sicky ......... bless her

This year it's Bonobo who's not showing up Shame really as was interested to see if they can still pull it off without all the big stage sets and theatrics i suspect they probably would have........... not that the headline acts are really what it's all about as you can easily have a great time without once going to any of the main stages........ people that have not been can't really appreciate the size of the event

In '05 we went on the Thursday and although it hadn't officially started we had a great day wandering around in the sunshine just watching the buskers and stuff.......

........... then at 5am on the Friday morning got woken up by a storm of Biblical proportions it was so violent it was actually a bit scary being in a tent Fortunately we had pitched up halfway up a hill. Eventually crawled out of the tent to find that other tents in little gully's on the hill had actually been washed down the hill into a huge lake that had been formed by the rain There were people actually going across this lake in Canoes lol.......... though why anybody would take a Canoe to a festival is a bit of a mystery........ must have had a tip off

Have fun and hope you're Camper don't sink in the mud

never had a problem with putting a flag on the van , been to tonnes of festivals and all survied the weekend with no problems

you can get the old stle v dubs imported from Brazil i think all with VW polo engine etc i think they start at 37 k

wouldnt want a old school one as most breakdown on route

anyways the bongos are great for what they are , i paid £5k for it,2.5TD, Auto ,40k miles and got , eletric pop up roof, electric blinds ,elec windows, wing mirrors ,self closing slide door , air con, infact its better kitted out than my escos and dual battery in engine bay

then done a rear conversion myself costing say £2k fridge , cooker sink , cupboards so it owes me £7k

had it 3 years now , buy service kits of ebay for it every year , it can be heavy on diesel above 70 mph , as it only has 4 speed auto box , newer ones have 5 speed

so happy with it , the same spec on a VW transporter would be around 15k i have enough momey in a escos doing nothing

this is where most people buy bongos or freindees or what ever else the flipping Japs call them.

              http://www.aaa-car-auctions.co.uk/index.html

you can get a nice free top one for sensible money and enjoy spending the savings on the proper conversion bits like cooker, telly, fridge etc
