Help needed here
A freind of mine has a xr2 with a tubo motor in it he wants to get it mapped but has been told because it runs ofac managment it needs to be changed to webber managment to get the best horse power so it would need a new loom is this correct and how much would a loom cost It has a big intercooler 2 fuel pumps etc.
Also who would you recommend to map it.

Ahmed Bayjoo mapped mine back in the day but I was on OFAB, whether or that means he can do OFAC I don't know but changing from OFAC to OFAB would be easier then buying a new ECU. The only problem is timescales as Ahmed has a lot on most of the time and it may take a while to fit you in but would be quicker and closer to get Ahmed to do it via Harvey Gibbs in Peterborough rather the Grove Garage in Essex
Fitting Weber would be a step backwards IMO I would go for a Pectel T2 which nearly everyone can map and would probably work out cheaper when you consider the parts needed and modded to may it work on the Weber set up.
I believe Harvey Gibbs @SCS does a T2 ecu and loom package quite reasonable
