OE radio/cd are these correct

hi, i'm after the OE radio and CD to put back in my 96 ST escos can anyone confirm that these ones on ebay are the correct ones please, also does the price seem ok? or if anyone on here has them for sale please let me know, thanks

Paul theyre from a sierra cosworth clearly remember one of my old cars having the round buttons on the tape player. i think all the escos single disc cd players are same model 2040 and the radios faces differd slightly from early to later models. mine is 93 BT and radio code is 2007. were as a pal of mine is 96 and radio code is 2008.
hope that can be of some help and can get pic of the ones in my car if you need them mate.

The radio fitted to Escort Cossies that matches the 2040 was actually a 2007. The 2008 ywin-tuner was fitted to top of the line Granadas. That being the case it is a straightforward swap and is a much better unit.

It allows you to store the last few minutes of radio that you were listening to and play it back, - it also leaves you messages about traffic broadcasts even when you aren't driving the car. Not bad for a standard Ford head unit...

2007 and 2040 are what you want plus the amp if yours has had it removed? make sure you get the ribbon cables to go with them

that system is from a very early escos and sierra 4x4 92 on only used for 3 months in the escorts then changed to 2040 and 2007 im sure dunc had some for sale ??

As above, my friend homolgation car has the early soundsystem in it. I had 3 of the later CD player in ym sapph and they all went faulty

while were on this subject,ive got a 2007 cd changer compatible one which is identical looking to a normal 2007,problem is ive never found a cd changer that it will connect to it uses a ribbon loom the same as the standard one but all the cd changers seem to have square 6/9 pin connectors???

I think it might connect to the 10 disc 2050 Sony CD changer as fitted so Mk1 Mondeos etc. I've got one in the loft and it uses a totally different connection set up to the six disc 2060 changers..

it could do,but the 10 disc ones ive seen seem to use a phono type cable and plug?? which wouldnt fit the 2007?
