when a car change owner last and prove it?

a mate sold a car last year but his insuranc at the time have continued to draw the money form him.they will refund him if he can prove when he sold it.but he kept no paper work at all
can you get dvla to give name and addy and when it changed hands?

he did and sent it. but didnt cancel insurance and they want proof of when it went. the car is on a different reg now due to a private plate by the look of it as the old reg comes up as an astra and the car is a vw caddy

he should of got a letter saying thankyou for telling dvla if not you could try to get a copy from them

write a recipt out back dated and send it off.

or do a hpi check that shows previous keepers as that shows the dates of changes on some hpi checks i have seen.

this happened to me and i argued succesfully that i asked for 12 months car ins not fackin 15 the thevin robbers
