  • Thiefs!!!

My next doors had there house broken into last night between 5.30 and 9.30pm Me and the mrs was both in the front room no more than 10 ft from where they broke into.

Needless to say I am worryed about PEG/M3.

Any ways of protecting the house that little bit more? just little things like a lights on, etc etc?

Get an alarm mate ,large dog ,stay in and never leave the house .................I used to fit alarms and cctv for years fella ,a bell box on the front of ya house would normally deter the casual thief .the best thing for this time of year is good quality security lighting and good quality mortice locks on the doors .

Good burgular alarm with good door and window locks are essential.

I made the mistake of leaving my car out of the garage for two nights running and some scum broke in for the keys while we were upstairs asleep. The sash window clasps were just pulled open without waking us up!

Luckily my daughter got up for the loo and disturbed them before they came upstairs. (not before they'd nicked my Ducati Corse paddock coat, with a bailey dump valve in the pocket , a rucksack from the hall and anything they could fit in it of value, phones cameras wallets jewellery etc )

The car is luckly garaged away from my address and is never left with the garage door open. But if they knew where the car was it wouldnt take too long to work out its mine as theres not many about

They just prised the window open and the clips snaped took a fair bit of stuff, big LCD tv, cameras phones all her passports and pers documents. Luckly they never went upstairs, but they got out the side door which is no more than 6 feet from ours!!!!

We do still have the M3 on the drive which would be nice for them to get there hands on

thing is .. whatever you have and where ever you live theres always someone who will nick your stuff, wether its a bike, car , in your house outside your house , as has been said no one gives a fuck nowadays. As the cost of metal per tonne has gone thru the floor now theyre nicking other stuff. mrs runs a saddlery and equine shop and loads of people around Northants have had stuff nicked in the last week or so, trailers quads anything they can get hold of.. you gotta check your security and beef it up if not up to much before its to late! bolt everything down...
