  • can anyone code new alarm fobs for toad system

    hello ive got a new fob for my toad alarm but need to code it in does anyone know how to do it or know who can do it pls

    which alarm model is it? You have to code them in by turning the ignition on and off in a sequence to enter valet mode, then enter a pin number to add the new remote. You'll need your pin number.

    I have full instructions but they are at home, and i'm working away until Friday.

        There may be a way of doing it without the pin. Let me check the instructions when I get home on Friday. If need be I'll copy them and bring them to national day.

          there is usually a pin on the back of the fob on a silver sticker, if not you have to locate the control box to get the serial number to then get toad to give you the pin

          platinum in car can coventry will do this, ive used them for all my car alarms for the past 8 years and they are really good

              As above, you'll defo need the PIN number. On mine it isn't on any of the current key fobs, but it was on the actual alarm unit and I got a card with it on too. If you can get hold of the PIN then adding new fobs is easy:

              To enter PIN code:

              1, Switch the ignition on and off twice quickly then turn the ignition back on within 7 seconds;

              2, The LED will now flash rapidly for 3 seconds;

              3, After the initial 3 seconds the LED will flash once a second;

              4, You now need to count the number of flashes equal to the first digit of the PIN code then turn the ignition off when the correct digit is reached (Turn the ignition off immediately after the initial 3 second rapid flash to obtain a 0 digit);

              5, Turn the ignition back on and the LED will flash green for 1 second. The count the number of flashes and turn the ignition off again when the number of flashes is equal to the second digit of the PIN code;

              6, Repeat for the third and fourth PIN digits;

              7, If the PIN entered is correct then the alarm will return to disarm mode when the ignition is turned off.

              Now you can add new fobs:

              1, enter the PIN number as above:

              2, Turn the ignition back on and press button 1 on the new fob - this links it to your alarm;

              3, Turn the ignition off and leave it off for at least 25 seconds so that it exits PIN mode.

              Might be worth moving this thread to the rebirth area as having the PIN entered also allows you to do other stuff to the alarm.
