itunes help please

Hi guys

Any ideas......... just uploaded itunes for my girlfriend and each time she tries to sign in she gets the message:

'Itunes could not connect to the itunes store. The network connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active then try again'

I'm no good with computers so any ideas/help would be much appreciated.

As she got an account with iTunes? If not, join it's free and then try again!

And can she connect to another web page without the same message?

Always try and reboot the router and then try it again!
And one more thing, make sure the time and date is correct on your comp!

It sounds like there is no Internet connection as scouse says can you get to other web sites ?? Timeout errors normally appear when there is connection from your computer and the outside world.
