Painting Rads/Intercoolers

Whats the best way to paint aluminium rads/coolers black??

I presume they cant be powder coated? Whats the best prep as i wouldnt want it chipping easy

etch prime it mate first, then a nice coat of primer and mat brack or gloss black paint. if possable tint the primer black if you can, so that if it ever does chip it will be black behind it..

Hi Max

You can shoot powder on Intercoolers and Rads no problem as long as theirs nothing plastic internally

I personally havent done one but been watching the guys over in the USA do them using a new formula powder.

Will be ordering some in the future to start doing them

As said max, normal aerosol will be fine but i does need etch primer on first or it will just chip like mad. I painted mine
