99% of what they sold was utter shite, Steve had an attitude, so no wonder they've gone tits up.

i went in twice when i was looking for my escos and the cars they had were in really poor condition and the salesman was a tosser.
they had an imperial blue 1 and i remember the salesman getting a shitty attitude when i was trying to check underneath the car so he got told to shove it up his arse

The cossie was everything i wanted was in amazing condition. i delt with a bloke called ben amazing bloke really coudnt do anymore to help. When i went to pick the cossie up i saw steve shirley and disliked the guy right from the start. He made some comment on that its the only cossie his had that has gone up in value while it was waiting for me to collect. i said to him that "you can cross that off your list of 1st,s then carnt you" tosser even my old disliked him

I would just like to add to all the derogatrive comments regarding my former boss steve shirley at junc 28 & how a few people were upset at his attitude,to be honest i worked for steve for near on 6 yrs going out collecting cars,valeting cars & a general dogs body,he was a great bloke to work for & what you saw you got with steve,he never ever turned down some one who wanted to inspect or test drive any car, i was previously with him before he relocated to near the train station & i remember a white escort cossie in there with 166 miles on from new a completey straight car & steve waited for nearly 2 hours once waiting for someone to come from birmingham to inspect the car prior to buying & i knew ben aswell the salesman he arrived the week before i left at salcombe road steve was happy to sell cars but if you wasted his time he would be off with you the car buisness is full of timewasters/wheel kickers etc,& when buyers wanted discount for cash steve would always say put your cash on the desk then we will talk about discount,you would be suprised at the amount of people walked out the door ,the garage has now closed & he is not selling cars in portugal ,he has a very substantial boat trip buisness & has built this up from nothing,he also has properties in alfreton & buisnesses & the same for portugal,he never sold a dogy car & his reputation in the car buisness was excellent ,he always paid his bills on time so if you have a gripe about him then thats luck sometime or bad luck you could buy a new car & have bad luck so in his defence he was sound & honest & straight he is a buisness man & he was a great bloke to work for ,alot dont know that a previous salesman did him out of alot of money previous to ben working there.ben was a great salesman & very knowledgable about all the cars in the garage

Ben i had no gripes with what so ever a wicked bloke got nothing but praise for that man

Steve as i said before i meet for 2 mins and that was enough.

As i said before we had an agreement he knew of my situation at the time i did everything he asked of me and still get a sarky comment.

Not that i give a shit as the car was everything i wanted so to stomach a bloke i dont like i suppose wasnt to bad............... 3 mins might have been different though lol

Ive heard so many good and bad stories from jct28 the car i brought is exactly as Ben told me it was so im not saying nothing about the car but steve i didn't like.

J28 sales have had some lovely cars on sale in their time, both my Escort Cosworth and my Focus RS have been through there in the past but I didn't buy my cars from them even though they were just 5 miles from me. I've delt with Steve once before and found him, well, lacking in conversation is about the best way of putting it however we did have a deal. The only downside to the place was when they had the taxi mechanics service and repair the cozzys before sale and without wanting to offend anyone, a Pug 406 derv certainly ain't no Cozzy! They did start using NMS which made sense as they are on the very same ind est but I'm not sure they did many.
