  • What dump valve options do i have ?

Finally going to get around to putting a dump valve on my cossie next year. Just wanted to know what options i have.

The car is a small turbo with an air flow meter ive been reading up and says i need a twin piston dump. Is the only option i have is the bailey twin piston dump valve or are there other makes that i can use ?

Will be moving the dump valve on the cold side of the car

Also anyone had any dealings with the Venturi type dump valve are they louder ??????

Any help or feedback would be great

Forge is another make, more popular than Bailey for Audi/Skoda owners. Spec R did a Gp A dump valve which I had on my old Saph and loved how it sounded. I hate the Bailey type with that shyte sound. Why not get a recirc valve??

Personally I wouldn't bother, they don't add anything to the car and IMO are a mod from 5 years+ ago.
The only time you tend to hear them now is on Uno Turbo's and the like and I wouldn't want to be associated in any way with such cars !!

You mean "Wastegate chatter" as Mike calls it

I remember hearing my first dump valve on a R5 Turbo in 1997/8 at Chelsea Cruise. My mates thought it was an air clutch

Ive had a look on the forge web site and the forge dump valves can only go on cars without airflow meters.

The Spec R look like they do a twin piston dump valve which will fit on my cossie plus its a lot cheaper aswell

Can anyone confirm that the forge dump valve works on a small turbo escort cossie.

I understand and respect peoples opions after all i did ask for any feedback. The reson why i want a dump valve is ive had my nova since the age of 18 (im 28 now) ive never had a different car and only ever wanted a nova and a cossie. So when people moved on to there series 1,2 escort turbos and fiesta turbos i still had my trusty nova

i just want to get this dump valve thing out of my head after a week or two i might get the hump with it at least its an easy mod to put back to standard.

Look up videos on YouTube for what they sound like. Ive always used Bailey on Ford's, but fooking hate how they sound

Spec R Gp A sounded very good on my old Saph There was one 2nd hand on PF I think?

Give Forge a call tomorrow and see what they say
