Pistonhead phone number scam!!!!

As most of you know ive been looking for a car for a few months now and have enquired about a few on pistonheads.
Now what i d idnt know is that the number that you see on pistonheads which has "phonesafe" beside it costs about £1+ per minute,just had my last bill in and an 18 min call was £25.Maybe this is a well known thing but i sure didnt know and im aboot £150 down due to making a few enquirees abott cars so be warned

yeah i understand its expensive i've just sold my SP2 on there and new nothing about the phone charges until someone calling asked for my direct number because of the cost, he said pistonheads do it to put off time wasters but sounds more like a scam to me

i always put me own number in my ads listing on there,that way i can tell people to call me.

the thing is though these days i seem to get texters even though i say no texts,the fuckers can't read but can text alright. if they are too tight to call they won't be buying is my motto.

No warning at all but if you click the little "phone safe" banner beside it it does tell you prices etc there Thank god its hopefully over now and no more phoning needed

are they legally allowed to do that without warning people of the costs first like the TV competitions, etc list the price on the bottom.

Probably find that somewher in very small writing they have covered the legalities.Im sure i cant be the only mug out there,if its cost me £100+ how much money have they made from this,i bet people wouldnt use their site to sell cars if they were shown this upfront
