Who were the big name players for Man Utd in 94 then, is it around the Roy Keane era? As he is en ex Forest player that would be who I would choose as the first user of my car. Im not usually that lucky though.

Stick it in a PM to save cluttering up this thread.

the altrincham was exactly the same as above.

i do remember though Chris that i saw a blakes ford tax disc holder once and it said... Blakes Fordmost on Merseyside which i thought was neat. I don't remamber seeing the quicks bubble though and i had a lot of quicks cars and bought cars and vans from my local one, must be a old design

you do have to remember though that in the day quicks chester or altrincham would of been 0244 and 061 and not 01244 and 0161,that came around in ooh about 93-94 i think.

Cheers Karl. Be nice to see the blakes one

I asked for info on various sites but got nothing back so i had to base the decal and sticker on the original plate image that was sent to me.

Back in the day, dealer stickers and dealer tax disk holders were frowned upon as ugly and were usually ripped out for a richbrook chrome job and a fido dido/no fear sticker.

Makes it super difficult for me as i can only go off original pics and info sent to me, which can be very scarce so i have to do the best i can with what i have got in front of me. I think mine look better than originals anyway LOL.

The quicks plate above was for Dave off hear and his is a 96 Cos. I believe the phone number changed 16/04/1995 (phoneday).

If you have any old images or plates etc then please dig them out as they help me know end in building up my original dealer file.

The quicks (bubble) tax disk holer is an original as i have it here in front of me. I havent a clue what era its from though.

                  Cheers

                  Chris

must be pretty old then as i never saw them bubble style in the late 80's thru the last days of about 2003 when it became bramhall-quicks as pendragon took them over and started bastardising the company.

i'll be there tommorow if you want to borrow the plates to see what they are like.

i found the quicks plates so will stick them in me van.

                    cheeRS Karl.........

ps if he's not there tommorow i'll send you a pm late tonight when i get in

Evening chaps, have established from my service book that my 93 Cossie "K*** BVN was first registered at : Tristar Nesham
                      Tristar Motors (Teeside)
                      North Ormesby Road
                      Middlesborough

And the Dealer No was 61388.

Does anyone know if they are still going? or does anyone know what there number plates would of looked like back in 93 as I wold love to change the ones I have on her back to the original spec as well as tax disk holder and rear window sticker too

                      Many Thanks for any info

my old man had a black 79 rs2000 custom reg cdc776t that was from neshams of teeside, the rear window sticker was still in it and i removed it back in the day.
thats how come i can remember as it fell to bits and took me ages so the name neshams is familiar to me

Hi Chris, now reading the whole thread I can see your the man who may be able to help. My Cossie has the original sales invoice in the service book and is stamped as below:

                            Tristar Nesham
                            Tristar Motors (Teeside)
                            North Ormesby Road
                            Middlesborough
                            Tel 0642 242451
And the Dealer Code was 61388.

                            Reg is K642 BVN.

Would love to get the plates back to what they would of been like when the car was first sold. So do you have any ideas how these would of looked and how much you could make me a set up for? Would also be interested in a Tax Disk Holder and rear window sticker

Many Thanks for any help / advice.

                                Hi Ian

Yes Im sure i can help you out no problem. I have done a few Tristar plates in the past.

When i did the first set, which was Tristar Tildesley i didnt have their original logo at the time so i did some hunting and still couldnt find anything.

I asked the customer if he had anything in his service history with a logo on and he found an original business card from the sales rep who sold the car.

This then give me anough amo to design the full dealer sets below.

                                Kind regards
