  • Magnex exhausts

Was speaking to Bjorn (Mr.Ford) yesterday about exhausts for the 3door. Came to the conclusion that Magnex would be the best option allthough they seem hard to get. Was browsing the interwebz today and found this site: http://www.magnexexhausts.com

Seems like Magnex is back! Escos systems are available again from early 2011

Somebody needs to get onto them and make sure they are designed to fit with the modified rear beams from the start off. Oh, and have an optional back box as well!!
          Cheers, Kev.

I've had contact with them and found out it's Collins Performance LTD who is running the Magnex brand again. I asked them about the 2wd system and if they were involved, this is the reply:

Yes we are doing both, as we had very good relations with Magnex exhausts
back in the day because they were both made by the same factory and this
exhaust especially is exactly the same for Mongoose and Magnex.

Thought I would let you guys know

Monggose have been doing the Magnex exhauts for months, since spring at least I wanted one as they are nice and quiet, but as mentioned the twin box system needs modded to fit a 6 degree beam

Yes, but now they are also doing them under the Magnex name.

was there not fitting differences for mongoose/magnex as i would like a magnex from downpipe to get rid of the ca,t or have a sports cat.

yes a lot, the way the downpipe split into two like the original. If you look at the 2wd Cosworth one you can see the cat by pass pipe and downpipe just like the original escos one

Just for info as well.... (escos owners)

The magnex will fit if you've swapped to a 2wd manifold without having to lengthen the downpipe!!

As I said before someone does need to get hold of them about the rear beam issue, as it's deffo a bit of a turd to mod them!!
                        Cheers, Kev.

Are they going to have the bigger tailpipe option like the old version?

                              I believe they offer a 3" and 4" tailpipe.
