are new years day and monday 3rd jan bank holidays

i need to know if nyd and 3rd jan are bank holidays as my boss says nyd is not a bank holiday but monday is so i can have nyd offf but got to work monday does anyone know the actual law please

In my eyes yes, but i was told they are not counting New Years day as its on a weekend, but Mon 3rd if deffo a Bank Holiday...

i agree with cosmo. its all about banking days. as saturday is not a banking day, you get monday as bank holiday in lieu.

nope. As Christmas Day and Boxing Day were Sat and Sund they made Monday and Tuesday bank holidays but only New years Day is a bank holiday so only Monday
