cool, i have heard great results from this cam, but id like to leave the bottom end stock as its a low milage engine ive managed to get, the heads off ready for an uprated gasket, just dont know what gasket to go for yet, and duno wether i should get the head ported or not

Richy I ran a WRC Gasket and had not problems at all, this was with standard head bolts awell. I had the head very lightly skimmed and the block had been decked about 4k miles before so i just gave it a good clean up.
Porting the head is a different though, depends how much power you want from the car, what you want to do with it, and how much cash you want to spend. My head only had the ports cleaned and i am happy enough with the way the car drives and how well it goes. My spec is very old skool but i am happy with how the car goes and drives. I cannot justify the £3k it would cost me to get a more responsive engine that gained me say 40bhp topend. Building from scratch is a different kettle of fish though.

i can get the head done at a local firm to me who deal with race engines for old skool v12 jags, they also do all the local skyline tuners work aswell for good prices so i can have it ported and done to what ever spec i say, my last one was 26mm inlet and 25mm exhaust ports, polished combustion chamber,, 3 angle valve seats etc, but my bottom end was also lightened blanaced polished, cosworth forged pistons with 7.2-1 ratio

Your always going to be slightly limited on what power you can make because you have no valve cut outs so limits your cam choices a hell of alot. I dont have a clue what sort of power Mark will get but i look forward to seeing the results.
