  • Extended driveshafts

Hi guys after some advice. Im restoring my escort cosworth planning on gettting adjustable top mounts, compression strut kit and adjustable track control arms along with avo coilovers which i have already brought and was wondering what to about the front driveshafts as I will hopefully be running the car with alot of camber as im planning to do quite a few track days when its finished. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also if mike rainbird reads this whats involved in fiting your adjustable top mounts.
Cheers and look forward to your replys

GGR do a set of longer driveshafts which are also alot stronger - these retail at £750, but i know where there is a set of these for sale, and theyve only ever been used the once.

its definatley worthwhile looking into tho, especially if your intending to run a fair amount of front camber that you speak of.
it was worked out once, that for every extra half a degree of camber you run - the driveshaft would need to be about 2mm longer to compensate for the extra distance that the center of the humb moves out!

the ones that are on mine Rich, or the current ones he has up for sale in the for sale room.

Jona, they are better priced than i recall they were then.

the later ones you may be lucky to avoid cuting the strut tops, but obviously the ones i have required a flat bed to mount onto.

if i were aware of the newer style coming available then i probably would have held on for those, as i feel they are a better design.

Jona, few extra pics here, which may help - and close up.
