Anyone else still waiting for post/deliveries after the xmas madness?

I sent a thermostat housing to wenny on the 22nd of december and it still hasn't got to him! i really hope it turns up this week now the holiday rush and bank holidays have finished as i cant find the receipt so dont have a leg to stand on with the post office which is entirely my fault but even with all that, it was sent 1st class recorded so its a pretty poor show from the postal service to not be delivered by now,

Are they still clearing the back log from the big freeze or you just think its the holiday period and all the bank holidays holding everything up?

Anyone else having the same trouble? i myself am waiting for quite a few things still including a cheque which i have been told i would 100% get last thursday, so lets see what tomorrow brings

a few bits ive been buying have been taking around 10 days to arrive first class so lets hope they clear the backlog now

i have also bought things wich took over 2 weeks to arive and sent an item wich was sent on 12th of december and hasnt arived yet- no doubt lost in post with all the snow problems caused.

i had somethinge sent from netherlands 2 days before xmas eve and got it new years eve

Glad it's not just me then,

I told Wenny to give it till Friday and if it's still not turned up I will refund him,

If I know the date and which post office I sent it from is there anything I can do even though I've lost the receipt?

I think your screwed without the receipt. I had all the paperwork when they lost a inlet I posted and I had a hell of a job getting them to pay. Took 6months in the end and I had to fire up on customer service then They payed.

I GOT ONE AWHILE AGO FROM A GUY IN YORKSHIRE RECORDED AND SIGNED FOR-HE WASNT IN SO THE POST OFFICE LEFT HIM A PICK UP CARD TO COLLECT, HE NEVER COLLECTED-HE SAID WHY SHOULD HE ITS THE POST OFFICES JOB TO DELIVER!!!!
POST OFFICE SAY RETURNED TO SENDER-STRANGE THING WAS ITS NEVER COME BACK TO ME
THAT WAS 4 MONTHS AGO-STILL NO SIGN-
PAYPAL FOUND HIM IN THE RIGHT AND REFUNDED EVEN WITH THE EVIDENCE GIVEN TO THEM-TRACKING ETC ETC
SO SIGNED FOR IS NOT THE BE ALL AND END ALL IS IT,

ye dont worry to much about it mate im sure it will turn up, my courier has had a back log but the bits ive sent in the post office have got there ok, i sent warren with the puma the brake servo and he got it the next day with the post office, it was special delivery tho so that side of the po must be ok

i sent a load of digital torque wrenches first week in december out of 12 i sent out i think 7 recieved theres before xmas it was a joke

Turned out my parcel I sent to Wenny was with him the very next day but the postman never left him a note to say they had failed to deliver it so he got it today when he went to collect another parcel,

Glad that's sorted especially as I accidentally chucked the postage receipt I won't do that again just in case,
