  • Exhaust manifold gasket which way round??

Can't believe I'm having to ask this but it's been that long I can't remember!!
Just about to put the manifold on and my minds gone blank, I think it's metal side towards the manifold??

Metal to metal , ie to the manifold

easy way to remember is that put alloy ans steel together and they corrode , so always put the gasket side to the alloy head

I'm told cometic ones have metal on both sides, the ones I have just have the fire ring on the head side.
Also just fitted the manifold and one of the studs stripped out of the head..
            BASTARD!!!!!!
Will try and retap later or helicoil it tomoz when I get one
