  • R reg escos in Newbury

Spotted an R reg escos in Newbury.

were they made on R reg? or a replica?

it looked spot on. had a WRC rear wing.

boot was badged up as a BT with escort and cosworth under each other.

saw you in fish & chip shop and drove past you near town. I was in a mk2 fiesta xr2 silver.

    Ash.

Could have been held back at dealer and registered late

But probably not a BT though or perhaps owner prefers the BT badge layout

there are a few R plate Escos's out there, so its highly possible.

i would have expected one on that plate to have been an ST, but with Ford anything is possible

exhaust was out the bumper correct. unlike alot of reps.

looked like the real deal (without getting up close)

and driver must have been ages 30-40 ish.

not some chav in a 1.6 escort o.O

gonna hunt him down and pull him over its annoyed me now lol..

It was a home build with some very special parts but you have to remember that back then you could still get everything over the counter to build one.
