  • Front driveshafts/vibration

Have a bad vibration through the car when accelerating from 30 mph upwards. Read back through all the old posts and checked the car over. Found the front propshaft uj worn, so i replaced it. Still no better

The driverside front driveshaft appears to have a lot of movement in it. Would this cause my problem?

Anyone have any driveshafts for sale as im struggling to find any?

Only had the car a couple of weeks and ive yet to have a drive in it spent all its time in the garage

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

worth try check the engine mounts fella, mine had same problem wer had awful judder from front end at certain speeds, turned out to be the driverside engine mount was fooked and that caused the drive shaft to also fook up- the outer cv joint was bein put under strain and it chucked the towel in, changed my mounts to collins ones and shafts to GGR and been fine since, so worth a nosey at the mounts?

Yeah i read some old posts on the subject, got a lever under the mounts and there didnt appear to be any excessive movement in them

But the offside driveshaft looks to have way more movement on the inner joint than the passenger side

Checked that out too, seems ok, no cracks or tears in the rubber.

Have sourced a driveshaft now so will update when i get that picked up and fitted

No i would have said it was opposite, comes on at about 30/40mph when accelerating, havent gone any faster than 80ish.

Had 4 new tyres, all balanced and checked, and a new uj at the front of the front prop. Still the same, so gonna fit o/s/f driveshaft as that looks like it has excessive play in it, so fingers crossed

Yes all seems well, antiroll bar/wishbone has been polybushed and no play in anything

Could be a wheel out of round, you can still get a vibration even if fully balanced correctly.
