conked out on the a41,then after some twiddling by yours truly i got it going again for a mile or 2,then the clutch cable snapped so i pulls over again and trys looking at it to no avail, then the coup de grace was stopping for a single car i would of hit on the penguin motel roundabout if kept going and bearing in mind i had no clutch i started it on the key in gear and it wouldn't catch so i'm sat on a very busy roundabout and to cut a long story short i smashed the gearbox's head in

errr no Boyo ,its not had the mot the hoople yet,i have had to sort many things out one being the little known fact a left hand drive box is differant to a right hand box.
so i now have to rebuild a right hooker box into the left hooker box,fit a new clutch as the original one from new isn't the best and hope it will all be ok.
the fookin thing is though i want a decent engine and box in asap and i'm having to go to town fixing the thing.
i have been promised a 711m mexico engine that i want and at cheap money off a old boy i know and its taking too long

You could possibly get rid of the plate though, i think if you import it to Northern Ireland when the car is registered you can have a brand new plate - that'd bin the English Q Id and you could then put whatever plate you want on it.

                          Bit dodgy though lol
NO but no but ye.All very well if you do that but your history will always go back to a Q plate .

No hard feelings then , I am glad mate , I hate issues between people. I'm sorry for my part for what its worth.
Anyways.........So your point about Insurance is an important issue I hadn't thought about. Last Q plate I had was an ESCOS I had built, but it was insured as a Rally Car via Adrian Flux to start with then Rally Sure.
If you cant get a decent agreed value, it would be a real shame to mod the car with all the right bits ( aka £££££) to find that its almost worthless in an accident or if it gets stolen.

Matt your probably right, get one with a proper log book. It makes sense.

                            Thanks Guys,
                            Frank
No hard feelings with me Frank

Im a big softy at heart realy

                            Regards agreed valuations

1, I dont think mark could give you one
2, the insurers will not care anyway

Q plate cars are ok as long as your not bothered if you lose a few quid
