  • which cossie is this crank position sensor bracket from?

I had a copy of my cps bracket made in billet alloy but i had to have 10 made but after having them made i then found out there is different ones for 2wd/4x4/escos etc so i need to be sure what one this is so i advertise the other 9 correctly.

So what cosworth engine is this from and will it fit others?

    Thanks
    Marc

Looks like a normal one to me (2wd / 4x4 sierra and BT Escos). The ST escos uses a Zetec sensor whcih mounts differently.

It's hard to make out the part number on my original one Jano, looks like YN0034

If they fit 2wd, 4wd and BT escos that's great

It looks like a 3dr and saph bracket.
The bt escort and st escort use a multi rib belt and that is a bigger pulley which needs a different bracket to move the sensor further away from the crank.

So that bracket will fit a double v belt set up and not a multi rib type.

Are you going to get the other type made for multi rib belt set up?

The normal bracket is fine for BT, its different on ST though as the sensor is different. That bracket IIRC actually clamps the sensor in place, whereas the one pictured allows the weber crank sensor to screw onto it.

                Up bracket then to compare?

doesnt matter about what pulley its on unless its st,all bt version twin or ribbed belt, alls they did for ribbed belt is put an extra stud in the sump to lower the bracket a bit, hence some 4wd sumps have extra holes around this area

                  thats a bt bracket

i did'nt know some 4x4 had an extra hole to lower the bracket,i thought the bracket was different,
i tried fitting a bt pulley to my 3dr and thought i needed another bracket because the crank sensor was to close.
how will i get round this? i have converted my 3dr to multi rib belt but the bottom pulley wont fit because the crank sensor is to close

I fitted a big turbo bracket to my st sump with no mods.
                            Thanks Mark.

So are we in agreement that these brackets will fit all cossie 2wd and 4wd standard engines using but not small turbo escort cosworth?

                              Thanks
                              Marc

If anybody wants one they are £25 delivered but I only have 8 and only in red as pictured, so first come first served,
please make sure the bracket is correct for you before buying one though,

                              Thanks
