  • Baffle or windage tray?

Been offered a baffle plate (I think it's called. It's the one with the flaps that open depending if your going round a corner) for my 2wd sump. What's better this or the windage tray? The sump is big winged

The baffle will have a windridge tray aswell as that's basically the top of it, there only about 60 quid for a 2 wd version anyway and are great for piece od mind specially if you go anywhere near a track

Thanks Steve, I'm going 2wd to go sideways and think it will be a good investment

Dom, I was told you shouldn't run both? that's why I asked which is better to have

How much is a windage tray worth as I've said yes to the gated baffle bit I'm going 2wd oil pump and pick up also.

How can you tell a high flow oil pump?

ive ran both for a long time now mate no problems it really wont make any difference if you run extra oil capasity on a big wing sump as theres more oil in the sump so the relayed return wont matter..imo

Thanks Dom I just wanna remove the windage tray as I don't wanna chop the sump up for it to fit, so if I dont need it, it will make my life easier
