    Right whilst the engine is in bits i'm respraying all my shiny baily tanks in satin black but should i spray the inlet satin as well or do it silver im undecided at the mo but will spray it tomorrow so what do you guys think???????????

    lol, im going satin eventually too,i hate polish shiney crap. what colour is you rocker cover bud?
    mines black so was going to keep my inlet silver as i thought too much black may not work

        My rocker cover is gloss black but thats going satin black as well and thats what i was worrying about (too much black but i hate cleaning the engine compartment so i'm leaning to everything black. Missig that one Phil ?????

              I wouldn't do the inlet black as well then, it will look a bit too dark in there IMO.

              Still, you can't really tell until its done so who knows?

              What paint are you using on the tanks, I'm considering doing this when mine returns!

                IMO (and exactly what I'll be doing on the next one....)
                Silver inlet..
                Black crackle tanks
                Black hoses
                Quip'd fuel lines
                Carbon heat sheild, cam belt cover, and airbox lid....

                (not that i've thought about this at all.....)

                  Just halfords satin black the tanks have come out quite well i'll let you know how they last in the bay

                    That sounds like a very nice combo!

                    I can wait to get mine spruced up as the block and rocker cover were done during the rebuild

                    I'm going to stick with the blus samco's though and polished plenum (when I get it fitted!) the rest of the tanks are either going black or maybe even Mallard green, might be a bit much though!

                      I've got a carbon cam belt cover to go on but i put a brand new tubo heat shield on not long back so that will be staying for a while and i think the inlet will be silver now

                        got the same problem aint sure what to do in the bay,polished looks good if youve got enough but a pain to keep clean

                              Yes Dave i think this year every Escos will be Black under the bonnet, im poor anyway and only have plastic ones ha ha
