  • Subframe

I took my subframe off my engine the weekend and cleaned it up. I'm tempted to have it powdercoated with the rest of my parts. Not sure if it would look right, has anyone done their's ?

Yeah wouldn't do it again either the thickness of the powdercoat makes the TCA's and Power Steering Racks a nightmare to fit, oh and it cracks and falls off if you jack up on it and stone chips.

Personally I'd either get it blasted and re-fit or just really clean it up, maybe spray painting it might be the answer??

I etch primered my last one, then 2 packed it with plasticiser in the hardener, had no issues re-fitting it and it didn't chip anywhere, even after over 5,000 miles.

I think I may has struggled because the TCA's where rose jointed and had no give at all, I had remove the powder coating to get them to fit
