New area suggestion?

Would people be interested in a tech essay/picture section, where we could do full breakdowns of common questions and uograges, such as handling, rear beams, fitting a 023 fuel pump, big brakes etc etc?

I don't mind writing a few threads, and get a few people to check them over for accuracy before making them into a tech archive section so we can show people exactly the right way to do things and have a step by step photo'd explaination and guide?

Wil, its a good idea mate and it would become more and morebeneficial to otehrs as time progresses.

ill pop it up in the Mod room for discussion, but i cant see any reason as to why it cant happen.

Possibly place it wthin the technical room but its own section titled 'How To'

morning jase! what about making a 'specific' guide section reather than all mixed in with the general questions?

morning john! I book 3 days off, and spend it getting up at the crack of dawn to take madame down to the train station....... I'll be glad to get back to work! whats that about!

i'd say the section needs a name change at most.... Just to define it better, problem is, the more rooms you have, the less chance you have on getting a viewing..... hence all the posts in GD.

jase that is my life every day bud. i get up at 6 and walk my dogs while she gets ready then i come back and have to take her the other side of the town to the station then get back get ready myself go to work then pick her up after i finish work(again its the other side of town form my work)

sod that lads! i get up at 5.45am, let the dog out and back in again, feed my cat then go to work for 7am. leave missus at home with the kids if sarah wants to go out she either walks or takes the super skoda!

what about a questions thread and just a guide only thread with no questions allowed?

I was thinking of making it more of an archive section, so there would be no posts floating around apart from the actual thread and any replies to it, save having loads of "mess" stopping you finding what you want... A bit like the Tech essay section on PF , ie someone writes a thread, passes it to the masses to see what they think, and if it is deemed good enough then transfer it to the new section (mods!) and keep it there for referance. People wouldn't be able to start a new thread in that particular section, just read useful guides, and keep it pure tech, nothing else to get in the way
