  • Anyone used Cylinder head developments to do work?

Want to get my cylinder head freshened up and came across this company in FastFord.

Was thinking about getting it ported and polished at the same, and possibly cams also.

Probably BD14 and BD10 then get the car set up at reyland.

Should crack the 400 barrier then!

Could you not stick it in the post to Harvey Gibbs, MAD or someone similar? For £50 posted it saves the risk of going to an unknown company

Is the 400 barrier not to much for the standard gearbox

M.A.D isnt too far away really, 2-3 hours, could get it all done in one place i suppose.
Fancied using Reyland thats all as its under 2 hours away for future tuning and things.

Cnc, ported heads I've seen are not as good as the heads we have done by nick waples, the inlet is just straight bored, not good, and the short radius isn't good!

Get a proper head, if you want the best from your t34, but even just a few hundred quids worth or porting will get you a lovely head for 400+

Yes your best off speaking to the old boy, but nick is the best in the business, no doubt!

Hi jimbo , you say around a couple of hundred quid for 400 bhp??

Been quoted around £1200 + vat by SCS , mad and Julian Godfrey

For a head for 400bhp what would it cost for retromk1 to have done?

I know every tuner likes there own cam spec

A few! Just for porting, for 400bhp you only need a small amount

If you start getting into guides, seats doing, cams, stem seals, platforms, and so on it get much more expensive, as you found out daz

I can get exact prices, just don't quote me by a 'few hundred'
