i quite like them, hinted a few times at getting one and trying to talk the misses into using it as her daily

from a tuning potential, its probably worth giving Harvey/Jimbo a shout, as far as i can recall, Harvey was involved with the engine development for that car!

you can with a lot of head work and ford rally team works roller barrel throttle bodies get 200-220bhp out of the engine. Bottom end wont last long at 200 odd bhp with higher rev limit though.

180bhp is realistic and should last quite well as long as you keep the rev limit below 8k.

You wont need a sequential box on one. They are available off hewland at silly money. The gearchange is miles better than on any MT75, and at best justs needs a quickshift and a decent LSD/ATB diff if you get one without a diff. Gearbox comes from factory with shotpeened first and second so will be more than upto usual track abuse.

brakes if serviced properly are awesome and you wont need anything else. I wouldnt swap them for AP 6 pots even if you paid me.

          Medically Discharged!! Officially insane!!!

Not very workable engine without spending lots of cash. The easy way for more power is always turbocharging which i have done to a couple.

I have a 4x4 Puma been locked away for ages if you want to own a proper one.
