  • Who runs Gaz Gold Coilovers?

Who on here runs Gaz Gold Coilovers on their cars, and how do you find them for road use?

I'd love to see some pics of them fitted too. I'm beginning to wonder whether I should go the whole hog while the car is in bits and fit those with road/trackday spec springs rather than Konis, then it's a lot more adjustable and you can fit a lot bigger range of wheels without faffing about.
    Cheers

It has got me thinking I must admit. Do you have any problems with corrosion on them mate and are there any problems fitting them or mods you had to do?

With all coilovers you have to either space the nearside rear damper out to clear the inner wing, or bash the inner wing to stop it rubbing on the spring (otherwise you get a constant rattle / knocking).

              I personally wouldn't run coil-overs on a road car.

And he is from Greece, so hardly experiences the weather we get LOL.

I have Gaz gold coilovers on the front, with gaz gold dampers on the back. Been that way a while now and really happy with it

get the konis on trev and stop worrying they will be fine ,i fitted coilovers once and took them off after a few hrs, didnt like them at all,far too harsh and noisey although i dont know what poundage the springs were so that prob didnt help plus i cant see you hammering fook out the wing for clearance lol

That's what I'm thinking Nick. Rather than whacking the hell out of the spring cups do you think I could fit some hubcentric spacers, and any ideas how wide they'd need to be? Just wondering whether the wheels would sit too far out.

you wouldnt need hubcentrics trev as they would have to be at least 10mm deep to clear the hub flange. you may only need 2 or 3mm ones, maybe manage without any at all
