  • cosworth diff pinion socket, where from?

Where can i get a socket to remove the pinion nut on a cosworth 2wd rear diff?

This is what i need to get off, so it will have to be a deep socket

I forgot to measure the size but looking at the pic its a 12 point type but will double check tomorrow

    Thanks
    Marc

            Cheers guys

Thanks for the offer Jano but sorted now

Take these things as a personal challenge to do myself

To buy a 12 point socket 90mm deep is a fooking fortune as normal deep isn't deep enough so sod that

Went and bought a 36mm 12 point socket for £10.80 and a piece of tube for £2 and cut the socket in half as suggested above by Neil welded in the tube and jobs a goodun,

Diff's now both completely stripped ready for cleaning, modding and rebuild

            Thanks

Yeah one of them tools i may only ever use once but handy to have,

Just modding the front diff ready for the strengthening plate by drilling and tapping the casing to take M8 studs instead of M6 bolts

Rear diff cover will be drilled and tapped for Aeroquip oil cooler lines in and out as i am going to run a small oil cooler and pump as that will help

Standard ones stripped out and most likely be replaced with titan or similar before building back up
