Who has done 100k

Hi Ben,
I have always chased power and Torque since my first car which was a Holbay Hillman Hunter. I have never had a car that would do much better than 30 mpg. The 911 is the best at 31mpg followed closely by my MSD stage 3 4x4 sapphire which could do about 29 mpg.

Don't get me wrong I would love to but still enjoy the driving. reckon I have done coming up to 200k total mileage in 15 years

Keeping well too, thanks. I know what you mean about fuel. When I first started driving in 1882 the price of fuel was about £1.20 per gallon IIRC that's about 26p ltr.
My Hillman with 4 x dcoe 40 carbs on a holbay engine did little more than 20 mpg. It was only 1725cc and 140 BHP. But still, not bad for the early 80's.

I can't remember what it was when I started driving but do know it wasn't much

I have had a full licence now for 31 years and have no idea how many miles i have

done in that time

Having owned about 35 cars ,including 2 vans for courier work i have never kept

anything long enough to do massive mileages.

I think the highest miles i have done was 48000 miles in 8 months in the VW caddy van

Also being a HGV driver covered a lot ,not in same league as Chris 6axles,in them .

I used my escort cosworth as an everyday car for work before it came off the road in 2009 to be restored. I used to do about 24000 miles a year in it. I did this for about 7 years. It did help that I had a company petrol card, and used to rack up about £5000 a year on juice.

I did 130,000 miles in my escort cabriolet until I scrapped it. I have done 8200 miles in my Focus Rs since picking it up last august and the Escos I have done nearly 10,000 miles in 3 years. The car has now coverd over 180,000 miles

We shall see. It might not get to Ford Fair but I'm definitely aiming for National Day if not, and I will be at Ford Fair, even if it's in the Mondeo.

done 8000 miles in 3 years of cossie ownership. I do try and drive it but it breaks a lot and a year of that was either me not driving or waiting for parts after it broke.
